Anton is the founder of African Eco Encounters. He is a passionate conservationist, adventurer, safari guide, tour operator, filming facilitator, fixer and amateur photographer. With more than 25 years’ experience in the field, you could say Anton is a been there, done that kind of guy.
An initial hobby led to a life-long fascination with reptiles and amphibians. Tyrone has turned himself into a field herp specialist, spending the last 15 years exploring Southern Africa and photographing and documenting many of the country’s rarest and lesser known species. Tyrone has recently published the first Field Guide To Snakes & Other Reptiles of KwaZulu-Natal and has other publications in the works.
